Splashes of color
There's still no plan for painting this box. I'm picking colors at random and just practicing my comma stokes with different brushes. Its relaxing and might even get to be fun as I go along. No matter what I do the box will be painted and can be used to put something in so I've got no worries.

Inside the painted box
I have no idea where this project is going but it's an interesting journey so far.
A friend of mine built this wooden box years ago and I've tried painting it many different times but never quite been happy with the results. I end up sanding it and giving it another go.
This time I'm just playing in my paints and seeing where that takes me.

Art that works
I'm really excited about this project because it gave me the extra storage space that I needed in the bathroom.
I love to paint but I love it even more when it makes the ordinary things in our lives more fun to look at and to use every day.
I think we'll be enjoying this project for many years to come.

Painted Cabinet
The great thing about this cabinet is that it can be hung either end up depending on which side that you want the door to open on.
It's been fun, bright and interesting to work on.
We'll be installing it later today.
I'm SOOO excited!!!

Progress on the painted cabinet
It seems to get a little better and brighter as I go along and I'm starting to have some fun with it.
In between working on this I crocheted some potholders and worked on a few other projects around here.

3 Great Reasons to Paint a Cabinet
1. To decorate it
2. To practice brushstrokes and patterns
3. To make something useful
I don't even remember where this old cabinet came from but we found it out in the studio and thought it might come in handy in the bathroom to store small items and make everything easy to find.
There are lots of narrow strips on it that will be a good place to practice different border designs that I want to try on the harnesses and things on my dala horses.
