Creativity Excercise
I do this sort of thing when I'm kicking ideas around, trying different color combinations and brush strokes while creating something useful. People seem to like them and they always bring a smile.

Lake and Trees Landscape Painting
I wasn't sure which of these photos were best so I just put them all up. I haven't decided whether I'm finished with the painting or just taking a break for lunch before going back to work on it.

Project Updates on drawing and painting
All of the drawing these days is to decorate envelopes and Christmas cards but I hope to be working on a series of nostalgia images next starting with a 1950's remote control toy (a bright red thunderbird convertible that my husband has had since he was a kid)
There are always some Dala horses in progress. As you can see they don't always work out as well as I'd like them to but I do keep trying.
I'm continuing to work on that painted box I showed a few posts ago and have gone back to work on an acrylic painting of the lake a few blocks away from here. It started as a summer scene but I'm considering painting it into a winter scene and filling it full of ice fishing houses.

A fun use for old drawings and paper bits
There are a lot of interesting things going on here. My sister did the black and white drawing and I added the colors and checks. She cut some of the paper shapes and I added others. I'm having a lot of fun with this and have even cut up some of the letters that I designed for my merchandise lines at Zazzle. Everything keeps evolving and turns into even more art projects.
