In Between Projects

I thought I'd take one more crack a doing a Christmas design. This time I'm using an old Christmas stocking that I had designed, sewn, embroidered and embellished as the inspiration. Without copying the hawaiian fabrics in it.

Here's a little closer view of the finished image.

This is just a hasty iris scribbled on the corner of an envelope.

A few more Iris scribbles on the card as I was trying to figure out the best shading techniques to use.

I'm kicking around a few ideas but haven't really decided on a new direction for my art and design in 2020.

Mixed Media Christmas Designs

On this card I was inspired by the bright green scarf on the puppy photo so I decided to draw a border in marker that repeats this bright green.

Here's a border design I drew on the side of the inside of the card.

And I went for a fun change of design on the envelope.

This was an envelope for another card. I was practicing along with a you tube video.

Here's the front of the 2nd card as I got more practice on different holiday plants.

I liked this wreath so well that i put it on white frosted oreo cookies in my zazzle store
