A handfull of hope in the garden

The results of my container garden have not been encouraging so far but today's bit of lettuce and chives were welcome among the grocery store greens in my salad tonight and strawberries always cheer me up.

Here's a list of factors that can affect your container garden:
1.the size and shape of your container
2. the weather
3. the growing medium or soil you use
4. the seed varieties you choose
5. when you plant
6.when you harvest
7. the amount of sun light in your yard

Don't give up!!! Some years will be better than others and there's going to be a certain amount of trial and error in finding out what will work best for you but it's
well worth the effort. Even when the garden doesn't go well you'll find that there are a lot of people in the same boat who'll enjoy talking about it and telling you what works (or doesn't) for them.
