Front Garden Photos

The wild geraniums have just started blooming.

So far I just have yellow and purple but am looking for at least one new color to add this year. They really brighten things up and fill in places until I find things that I like better.

Here are a few other views around the front yard where of course the hosta seems determined to take over the world no matter how much of it I give away every year.

Oh well, I love it and it was free so I just keep moving it.

What can I say? It's a shaggy mess but it's home.

Here's a pretty Columbine that I bought in a garden center last year. I think I'll be enjoying this one for yeas to come.

A lot of my landscaping these days is just taking plants that I've got and moving them around. I love the pop of color that I get from those wild yellow geraniums that were a gift from a neighbor about 10 years ago.

The all green hosta and the orange lilies came with the house and the white edged host came from another neighbor.

Each year I divide and move some of them as well as giving a lot of it away.

Things are a tangled mess but there are some good plants in here that will be worth transplanting here and sharing with others. My hope is to find someone that wants them bad enough to do the digging and share the plants with me.

You may remember this bush from previous posts. It's decades old and original to our 1930's bungalow.

I hope to have it trimmed up and looking even better next year.
