Dreams and plans in the front yard

Not much is happening in the front yard except letting EVERYTHING run wild until it can be dealt with.

I still like the color I get from these wild geraniums and the money we save each year that they come back again.

 I'm even putting chives in the flower beds for a bit of color, handy garnishes and a bit of seasoning in the kitchen.

 Someday this will be a wide and bright flower bed but until then I can only dream and plan.

Isn't this spirea bush amazing? It's gone a bit crazy over the years sine it was planted back in 1936. I'm so lucky that my neighbors don't mind because there's not a lot that I can afford to have done with it.

Future plans call for having it divided and trimmed into a nice hedge.

Spirea, Roses and Geraniums gone wild

Things are a tangled mess but there are some good plants in here that will be worth transplanting here and sharing with others. My hope is to find someone that wants them bad enough to do the digging and share the plants with me.

You may remember this bush from previous posts. It's decades old and original to our 1930's bungalow.

I hope to have it trimmed up and looking even better next year.

Photos of the Front Garden

Things have gone pretty wild out here but the bushes and flowers are healthy and prolific so there will be plenty to work with when I'm getting around well enough to get back to heavier yard and garden work.

This spirea bush is nearly 70 years old and after being more or less flooded this spring I'm amazed to see it doing so well. I think last years severe pruning did it some good.

Everything is running more or less together but it's bright, colorful and the butterflies are loving it so I'm hoping people will excuse the mess and enjoy the show.

I'm not sure what these yellow ones are but they'l grow anywhere that other things won't. Whatever they are I'm happy to have them until I can afford some better flowers.
