Blue and Yellow Dala Horse with Sewing Theme

This horse is much thinner than the ones I usually work with so I'll be drilling a small hole through it to put an ribbon through it and turn it into an ornament.

The proportions of everything are still way off but I had fun changing the outline colors to see if that would soften the look.

Yellow blue and green

Here are some pictures of another dala horse I'm working on. I started t his one yesterday and am enjoying it so far. I just haven't decided on a third color to add to the mix.

I got a lot of drawing today but it was all on the edges of my letters and on the envelopes. They went out in the mail before I got a chance to scan them into the computer. I'll try to get pictures next time.

Wrapping it up

These are going to make nice gifts for a couple of my quilting friends

They also made great designs for merchandise in my Zazzle stores so it's fun to be able to share my work with so many people and know that it will make people happy for years to come.

I loved the fact that when I went to finish these there were 2 scraps of ribbon just exactly the right size and color in a box  of ribbon that a friend sent recently so I got to do a bit of recycling too.
